About_Carter_Engineering

Carter Engineering has provided mechanical engineering and accident
reconstruction consulting services to motorcyclists and the motorcycle industry since 1984.

Services include: inspection and analysis of vehicles and components with regard to malfunction, failure, and/or accident causation; accident reconstruction; evaluation of vehicle and component design/function; vehicle testing and analysis; and related expert witness services.

Currently, most of our work at Carter Engineering involves mechanical engineering consulting in regard to motorcycle product liability and general motorcycle accident reconstruction/analysis. Our clients include motorcycle and motorcycle related product manufacturers, insurance companies, motorcycle dealers, government agencies and individual motorcyclists.

About_Tom_Carter

Tom Carter is a consulting mechanical engineer and owner of Carter Engineering. He is a lifelong motorcyclist with over 60 years of riding experience on all types of motorcycles both on and off-road. His motorcycle racing career has spanned over 55 years in all types of racing, with the primary focus on off-road racing.

Tom is a licensed professional engineer. He graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and from the Air Force Institute of Technology with an M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering.

Tom Carter is a retired military and Vietnam Veteran.
